Sobre Nosotros
Montichelvo se encuentra al sur de la provincia de Valencia, a 74 Km. de la Capital y a 14 de Xátiva. Su término municipal tiene una extensión superficial de 33,125 Km/2, limita al Norte con Benicolet, del que le separa el Barranco de Cheta; al Nordeste, con Terrateig.
Por el sureste limita aproximadamente a la altura de Peñas Albas con Lorcha, ya perteneciente a la provincia de Alicante. Por el Oeste limita con Ayelo de Rugat.

How did we come to find this wonderful place? We certainly have a lot to thank our dear friends for this (they know who they are). They gave us the hospitality of their apartment which allowed us to search such a delightful area that we instantly fell in love with.
My wife often says to me "Keith, you must have been a Spaniard in your past life". God only knows where this passion and yearning to settle in Spain has come from. Maybe the relaxed way of life, the simplisities of it all, the overwhelming friendliness of the vecinos, which I certainly know has a lot to do with it.
Local Information
There are recreational areas in Montixelvo (“Font de Micalet”) or Terrateig (“Font del Llop” and “Pla de los Fontetes”); the camping Natura in Rugat; and the refuge “Coll de les Planisses” in Montixelvo.
Street Market & Shopping
Every Tuesday in the village square, you can buy local produce (cheese, ham's, meats and vegetables) also clothing and housewares.
At the end of the street a wonderful little bakery to buy your early morning bread.
The village also has a mini supermarket, butchers and chemist.
